HN provides functional and technical documentation free of charge. Additionally, we provide public chat functionalities, technical support (paid), and a global network of partners available for consulting and development expertise.

How quickly will I get an answer?

In public chats the response time depends on the availability of other experts, but usually you should receive an answer within 24 hours of asking the question. If your question is already frequently asked it might be different. In case you want active support on development issues, we advise taking a membership on our premium channel, where experts answer within 4 hours. If you have questions out of scope from HN and related to your current systems, our local offices can offer support. Please contact them for a quote.

How fast can my problem be fixed?

This depends on the kind of problem you have and if you have a premium membership or not. If you would like to speed up the process of your request please contact a sales office to agree to premium support and/or development support.

Which languages besides English are supported?

When you buy an HN premium subscription you are buying it for a set amount of time. When you don't extend this subscription it will end.

Yes, it is possible to sign up for HN support. For the first priority subscription you will be charged upfront for 1 month. The subscription can then be extended monthly, quarterly, or yearly—or not, if you choose. Public support is free of charge.

Our global support is a collection of experts who can advise you to take certain actions or not. This is a free chat and does not give you a guarantee to get the answer to your question. If you still don't get an answer, go to the public chat to upgrade to premium support.

Payments can only be made in Euros (€). Your bank will handle the exchange rate. If you retrieve money from the system for ledger or node earnings payments will also be in EUR. If you choose to receive EUR payments in a different currency (after wire transfer), current exchange rates will apply.

How do I pay in a local currency?

In order to pay in local currency, you will need to use a payment method that supports your local currency. We accept 76 currencies, those will be automatically transformed into EUR based on the official worldwide rate (https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/).

Can I also use HN as a payment system?

HN has only very limited payment services as most countries have very strict restrictions, and we don’t have a payment system. However, we allow to transfer €10 per day per wallet within the system.

What payment options does HN offer clients? Is it a pay-as-you-go model or a monthly/annual subscription model?

The HN system is limited to a pay-per-gigabyte (GB) model. However, HN partners have the option to make bundles upon request. Contact your local HN partner for more information.

What is an HN wallet?

The HN wallet is a payment platform for clients, ledgers, and nodes for receiving earnings or making deposits within the HN system.

How does an HN digital wallet work?

The structure of our digital wallet allows companies or individual users to facilitate spending within HN and/or manage personal expenses.

How do I get my own HN wallet?

The moment you create an HN account a core wallet is automatically generated for you. It is important to note that only one core wallet will be provided. Core wallets can be connected to up to five (5) sub-wallets.

How can I get money into my HN wallet?

There are two ways to fund your wallet:

  • Provide a computer/server to our network and start earning money. The better your processor, memory capacity, and internet connection, the higher your earnings. Just remember to always leave your system on.
  • Generate a payment order to make a deposit to your HN wallet via bank transfer. Be sure to use your HN account number in the subject line of your wire transfer.

What is the upper limit when transferring funds to another HN wallet?

HN is not a financial system. Therefore, there is a strict limit of €10 per day per wallet to transfer to third-party wallets.

Can I also put funds in my wallet via smartphone or computer?

The only possibility to send funds to your wallet is with a wire transfer via SWIFT.

How do I change the password for my wallet?

Each wallet is secured with a separate password and can be changed in properties. When the system password is changed you will receive confirmation email to validate the process.

How can I block my wallet?

You can block your wallet by checking the checkbox in the wallet property. All transactions are being canceled except the smart contracts.

How long does it take before money is transferred to my bank account?

Transactions to your bank account shouldn't take more than 48 hours (2 working days).

A smart contract is a digitally created and binding contract between two or more parties. It is meant to make agreement easier and more cost-efficient.

How do smart contracts work?

Smart contracts are digital agreements that can automate and secure payment transactions. When two people want to make a payment to each other, they can create a smart contract that specifies the terms of the payment, such as the amount and comditions. Once the conditions are met, the payment is automatically executed without the need for intermediaries, such as banks or payment processors. This makes transactions faster, cheaper, and more secure. Smart contracts are legally binding, just like any other official contracts.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

In the system, you will find lawyer offices that can reset your password against a fee, or you can reset it within the system if you still have access to your email.

Can I register multiple wallets on my account?

Yes, you can register multiple sub-wallets that are connected to your unique core wallet.

How do I migrate my corporate and private data to HN?

There are already a few APIs to help upload data to the HN system. Other data can be transferred by using the HN migration point once billing for storage begins.

Why should I use HN migration?

HN migration is the safest and quickest way to transfer your data into the system and provides you with a low-cost upload facility per GB.

How long will a migration take?

The duration of a migration depends on the amount of data you move and your internet connection. Currently, we offer migration speeds of around 10 Tbps inbound.

Can an HN partner migrate customer data?

How do I cancel, pause, or exit a migration?

This is not possible but you can stop your database or remove the API.

How will I know when the migration process is complete?

Once the migration is complete you can access the database in HN where you can see the entire amount of data migrated. The system will then begin to bill you for the amount of data that was migrated.

What is the maximum size of data I can migrate?

There are no maximum capacities for migration due to the system's immense, constantly growing storage and computing power.

Can I migrate from multiple souces to one HN account?

Yes, it is possible to migrate databases from several sources to one HN account.

In order to migrate your application to HN you need to:

  1. Install the application on your network where your web-server is located.
  2. Connect with the application to your local database.
  3. The moment HN is connected with your local database the upload can begin.

Where is my data stored, and is it secure?

Your data is stored only in the countries you allow. Within the management console, you can see the cities/countries/regions where your data is stored.

Regarding security, we use high-level encryption that is nearly impossible to hack. Also, HN splits all data into encrypted micro-partitions that are replicated a minimum of five (5) times, which guarantees the best—and most secure—data availability on the market.

Who can access my data?

Only you or the people you authorize to do so can access your data.

Is the transfer of my data secure?

Yes, it is 100% secure.

Should I expect downtime when my data is backed up?

No, our system has the unique capability of backing up data without downtime.

What security measures prevent one customer from accessing another customer's data if HN stores the data of multiple customers within the same system?

Users only have access to the data they have the authority to access, with this authority only given by the owner of the data. Additionally, the HN system uses chaos theory to make your stored data assets even more inaccessible to potential attackers.

What other security measures are included in the HN system?

We are confident stating that we have the most secure system on the planet. Unless you leave a sticky note with your password on your computer or give your user ID and password to someone else, no one will ever be able to access your data.

What happens if there is a data breach?

HN eliminates the possibility of data breaches. However, if somone uses your user ID and password to access your database, you can take the database offline by deactivating it.

We recommend that if you suspect someone has access to your account that you change your password. We also recommend never sharing your login credentials with anyone.

How do I know that I am the only one with access to my data?

Within the security section of the management console, you can check to see who has access to your database(s)—even down to the column, row, or field level.

Does HN offer the same level of data protection to all its users?

Yes, all users get the same level of data protection.

Does HN mine and sell data to third-party vendors?

No, not we do not even have access to your data, unlike other cloud environments. You have a personal data vault where your data is stored, which even we cannot enter. However, at a later stage, we will allow you to sell your data if you choose.

How do I create an HN storage account?

To create an HN storage account:

  1. Download the HN application.
  2. Enter your profile information to create a core HN account.
  3. Transfer a minimum of €0.85 to HN (enough for 1 GB of storage, or 0.5 GB of storage and 1 GB of bandwidth).

Do I need to pay for storage up front?

Yes, payment for storage must be deposited in your account up front. Every day at 00:00:00h GMT the system will bill you for the day, withdraw the money, and block the next day's needed funds based on your prior use.

Your core wallet will be active for life, but you can deactivate your storage account and later reactivate it. Note: All data you have uploaded to HN will be deleted 14 days after storage account deactivation. Sub-wallets can be deleted if they are not being used.

By default your data is stored globally on our distributed ledger system. Alternatively, you can choose to limit your storage within specific countries or to exclude your storage from certain countries.

How do I protect myself from accidental data deletion?

We keep deleted data in a "sleep" mode for 48 hours, during which it can be restored. After 48 hours the data will be permanently deleted.

Will I lose my data if an individual storage provider's hardware is damaged?

No. If a provider's hardware is damaged or loses internet connectivity your data will be replicated to another provider within 5 seconds. Additionally, the system automatically replicates all your data on the hardware of five separate providers.

Database backups are calculated according to their size: Volume of gigabytes (GB) x €0.35 per GB.

Creating a database costs nothing. We do not use any licenses for servers or user access. You can connect all your data and applications to our system. To get started, you only need to pay a minimum storage fee of €0.85 per GB/month, plus any bandwidth use (€0.35 per GB).
